We came home just a couple of weeks ago and I thought that I would post some of the pictures that we took at BWV for those who would like to see. We loved Disney at Christmas (this was our first trip at this time of the year.)

Below is the poinsettia tree that is at the entrance into the lobby at BWV:

Below is a picture of BWV from the boardwalk where the surrey bikes are:

The rest of the pictures are from main lobby of BWV. The kids loved finding the hidden Mickey's on the gingerbread display.

We are looking forward to the next time we will be able to get back at Christmas time (probably won't be for a couple of years), but in the meantime we will continue enjoy our summer trips!

Great pictures!!! Thanks for sharing. You have a lovely family. :)

Thanks for the pictures. We were there last week and yes, it is so beautiful at Christmas! Glad you had a good time!

Thanks for posting the pictures. It is so beautiful there.

Thanks for posting the pictures - they are lovely. I have always wanted to go during the holidays, but it hasn't worked out.

In our case, we didn't even know that Disney did such wondeful things for the holidays until 2001, when we were there just before Thanksgiving. Nothing was decorated fully, but there were signs, so we asked. We definitely began our December trips in 2002. We are nearly retired, DH gets nearly 30 vacation days that don't include holidays, and we're empty nesters so we're not tied into holiday school concerts.

When you time to go for holiday celebrations comes, I'm sure you'll find it was worth the wait!

Great pictures. I love the decorations over the holidays. Can't wait till we can start going to disney during the beginning of December. Right now we have kids in school, so we need to keep to school vacations.

I just got back from a week in a 1-bedroom at BWV. I spent last year at VWL and enjoyed it, looking for much the same at BWV but the unit that I was in showed some wear and needs some maintenance. The maintenance issues were minor, true, but considering that the maintenance fees for Disney are so high (I pay almost twice the maintenance fees at Disney then I do for my 2-bedroom timeshares in Orlando) it was unexpected that there would be such maintenance issues as they obviously weren't new.

The bathroom door had wood like a half-crescent exposed around the bathroom door handle. This prompted a closer look at the door which reviewed various shades of off-white colored paint. Obviously the door needs to be repainted.

Another item, also in the bathroom, was the paint was peeling off the mirrors toward the bottom of the mirrors. Again, minor and a need for a repaint. I wrote DVC a note and enclosed pictures of the door (around the handle) and the mirror.

I enjoyed the little things like the chorus and the various performers on the Boardwalk but I enjoyed my stay at VWL more. Next year I will attempt a stay at the Beach Club or if available, the Animal Kingdom DVC.
