My husband and I are a little concerned about the quick service dining options over at the BWV. It seems the only place to grab anythign quick is the Bakery and it looks like all they have is sandwiches. Im concerned that there won't be anythign to give my kids or us for that matter other than that. can anyone tell me if they have done the quick service plan and how that has worked out for them. I have 2 days at SSR so that shoudl be fine bc we have dtd also as well as the Artiste palate or cafe not sure what its called but at the Boardwalk it seems the options are limited. I could go to animal kingdom instead where Mara's is a great option for us. Any thoughts?

Yeah, honestly BW area is slim pickins on the quick service fare (I think).
I have never done DDP at all so I can't say what is covered in BW area.
But the sundry store carries some stuff like bread, pb and J, frozen stuffs and I think some fruit as well and of course drinks.
So if you are stuck and not able to get some food with your DDP points maybe you could get something to tie you along from the store until you go to the park. Or maybe hop over to Beach Club marketplace for food.

Oh and apparently Belle Vue Lounge serves breakfast as part of the QSDP.

Here are sample menus from the QSDP places around BW:

We always eat at EPCOT when we stay at Boardwalk Villas. Yes, the bakery does only have sandwiches, but they were quite delicious when we stayed there in June on the dining plan. There is a lack of counter service dining options at BWV, but it is so close to EPCOT that it doesn't bother us.

Thanks for your replies. We are not doing the parks on this trip. just simply relaxing by the pool, taking strolls on the boardwalk, going to dtd, maybe pool hop to another resort one day that sort of thing. we'll do one character breakfast for the kids at Cape May. We'll go to the parks next year when the little guy is a littel older and we can bring some help with us.
i love these trip and plan to take advantage of them as long as I can. We jsut love the atmosphere and don't really need th eparks all the time although with the 5 yr old getting older that will be harder to do as Im sure she'll demand the parks more often. Nwo she is happy to just play by the pool and see mickey for breakfast!lol. I know selfish but necessary for me at least for now.lol.

The dining plan is a matter of convenience and not having to worry about how much we will spend and how much cash to bring. The options are def slim it appears but having talked it over with my husbadn we decided to just make the best of it. its not about food after all its about relaxing and enjoying some family time. I'm sure we will find something to eat even if i have to take a boat ride over to HH at the BC.

You can also hit the Marketplace over at the BC. Or you might try the dining facilities at the Swan and Dolphin - but they aren't on the dining plan.

Too bad you don't have tickets/park hoppers. You could go to Epcot and pick up stuff as well. Pastries from France make a great breakfast.

You could always take the boat or walk to DHS and catch a bus to another resort from there.
