BWV and BCV Vets - need help with getting to tour

Hey all - DH and I are staying at BCV are planning on taking a tour this December that starts at Epcot (at the front gate) at 9:00AM. You need to be checked in by 9:00 - obviously we can't make it from the international gateway to the front of the park by 9 if the park isn't open yet.

We haven't done a tour at Epcot before and are concerned how we would get to the front of the park from BCV before opening.

Do any of you have experience (other than dining reservations) getting through the entrance at the International Gateway and going through the park to the front gates to make the tour on time? It seems like everytime I'm back there before park opening in the morning, the castmembers seem perplexed by any questions the guests come up with back there.

It's been a couple years ago but when doing an early Segway tour just went to the IG and the CM had a list of names for folks with tours and dining reservations and let us go through, no problem.

If it's a tour of Epcot (or, at least, starts *in* Epcot) then the Cast Members at the IG will have your name down on a list and let you in. If it's a tour that starts outside of Epcot, presumably not a Disney tour, then you're right and the Cast Members won't let you go through the park before opening. I'd probably take a cab if that is the case. You could, presumably, take a bus to MK and then the monorail to the TTC and then the other monorail to Epcot, but I'd worry too much about timing, myself, and just take a cab.
