We are relatively newbies to the DVC, we used it once so far but chose to stay at a resort. We are going to the Boardwalk Villas the week after Thanksgiving. We are getting a one-bedroom preferred view. Any other special requests I should make to the resort to make things as magical as possible. I've heard that it is wise to request a room close to the elevator. Any insight that anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. (How about having groceries delivered, is it much more expensive than stopping and buying ourselves.)

We loved BWV and will be headed back for our 4th stay in Jan, we have always been lucky to get near the elevators on 1st floor but there really aren't any bad locations, however in october we had boardwalk view and it was a bit too noisy for my liking but still a great stay. Have a wonderful holiday.

You're going to love BWV. It's our home resort. You might want to head over to the DVC boards....a lot of info over there. But, as far as room requests go...it can be a long walk to the elevators from many rooms. So, if walking is a big issue for you, request a villa close to the elevators. We had a room waaaay at the end of the bldg, over the quiet pool beside Community Hall. I think we were 3 rooms down from the MGM end of the bldg..it was about 235 steps from the elevator...yes, I counted. But, it was a wonderful villa, with a great view of the canal. Very quiet. Also had a great villa on the Village Green. Both were preferred, but not preferred Boardwalk view. It's all about preferences.
