BWV Add On ?

I have a question about adding on BWV points directly from Disney. Do they get these from a pool of points or am I getting someone else's exact contract that didn't make it through ROFR? I would like to buy 55 points. I am wondering if I will be waiting longer for a 55 point contract than the more common 50 or 60 point contract? Or maybe it won't be harder on the disney system, if the points just come out of a pool of points they have available for allocating?

From the way I understand it Disney can pull apart and repackage contracts it buys back. If I am wrong someone will correct me.

You would not be purchasing an intact contract previously owned and reclained by DVC. When DVC reaquires contracts - thru default, foreclosure or ROFR - they can package the points in any fashion they desire. If they reclaim a contract with 150 points and you are at the top of the waitlist for that Use Year for 50 points, you will be offered the 50 points.

No. Disney sells some of the "sold out" resorts for slightly less than the current $104/pt list price for AKV. I think BWV might be $101/pt? For BCV they charge the full $104/pt. Considering there is usually an $8/pt incentive for AKV (bringing its price down to $96/pt) that makes BCV the most expensive even though it expires on Jan 31, 2042, 15 years earlier than AKV. That also makes BWV higher than AKV if I'm right about it being $101/pt.
