BWV @7 months

I am hoping to switch my res. to BWV standard at the 7 month mark for early April. Any idea what my chances will be. We are staying at SSR in Nov

Because you want standard, I'm going to guess that it's going to be hard, and you probably will be on a wait list, but hopefully it will come through! Most likely you will be able to get preferred/pool view. Hey, it's almost time for you to make that ressie, let us know how it goes!

Probably slim. Standard View at BWV consists of only abut 10% of the rooms at BWV and are the first snapped up by BWV owners, since they're so cheap. You might get it by utilizing the waitlist.

Just looked at the map and I'd estimate that 20% of the rooms are Standard view, 20% are Boardwalk view, and the balance is Pool view. I'd call day to day, shoot for standard, or just settle for one of the other views.

We just booked a standard view room for September and I was surprised is was available, even though September is a slow month.


SoCalKDG- Do you have a map of the room in an online version? I haven't been able to find it.

We just got a standard view for 7 nights in March right at the 7 month mark. It can happen.

Wow! I did not realize the percentage of standard rooms was so low.

I got a standard view 1 bedroom for April 21 to 25 this year at 7 months. I pooled points with DVC friends who did not own BWV, so we had to wait for 7 months.

I think you will have to wait list but it may depend on the type of room too. You may be able to get a 1BR but will have to waitlist for a studio or 2BR. Remember next year Easter is March 27 so those weeks will be quite busy around that date.
