We're staying at WDW for three days after our cruise in November. We had booked a 2BR at OKW, but we thought we'd try BWV just to be different. We had rented out our BWV points to pay for the cruise, so we had to wait until the 7 month window to book there. So I didn't promise anything, because I know November is the Food and Wine Festival and the Epcot resorts can be hard to get into.

Today we hit the 7 month mark for our checkout day, so I called DVC to see if they had anything available at either BWV or BCV. To my surprise both resorts had 2BRs availabe, although just for a PV at BWV. So I booked at BWV.

I know these boards sometime leave the impression that rooms can be tough to get if you don't book right at 11 months. But I've found it to be just the opposite. We've never had a problem getting the reservations we want.

Awesome! Have fun and thanks for sharing your experience! Gives hope! :Pinkbounc

Glad to hear that you were able to book the accommodations you wanted.

I think that the importance of the 11 month booking is for the really peak times like December and such. Even if it's just to give me peace of mind that I can book where I want to stay the most and have the best chance of getting it, I think it's important.
