Hi all!

Wondering if anyone has a floor plan for what a 2 bdrm vacation home cosists of- on the website, it says its a 1 bdrm vacation villa with a studio attached (adjoining door opens). We have stayed at studio before at BWV, but we are considering going with another family (total 8 people). Does anyone have a floor plan of how this is configured or can anyone explain it to me? We like the idea of having the kitchen & laundry facilities in the room, but wonder if the 2 families would be on top of each other the whole time. Is it laid out in such a way that 2 families could have separte living quarters for those times when they need to? I was hoping I could look at a floor plan that shows a birds eye view of the layout perhaps? I don't need room numbers or anything that specific. I'm just wondering is this would be a better option than each family renting a studio. I'd love your experienced opinions on this. Thanks everyone!!!

I wouldn't personally try to put 8 in a BWV 2 bedroom. They are definintely cramped compared to some other places. The studio you are already familiar with, so you know that there will only be 2 real beds in the units. The studio with the queen plus a double size pull out sofa, and the master with a king bed, plus a queen size pull out sofa in the living room. That means there has to be 2 in each bed, and sometimes that doesn't work out too well. Also, at BWV, the kitchen is very small with very little seating for folks when you are trying to eat. I have been spoiled by our OKW size units, but I really do miss the table where everyone can eat together when we are staying in the lock off type units like at BWV, BCV, SSR, AKV, and VWL.

2 studios for 8 people will be pretty cramped also. By going with a 2 bedroom, the one family would have the studio and the other the 1 bedroom, which would give some extra room in the living room and kitchen to share. I think it depends on how close the families are and the ages. If 4 of the 8 are kids, it's more doable than if there are more than 4 adults/teens.

I don't understand the logic of 8 people being more crammed in a 2BR than 2 Studios. In a 2BR you have more room and amenities than you would 2 Studios.

Agree that eight in 2BR would be better than 4 each in two studios (although I would personally consider either arrangement crowded but many can tolerate "closeness" to others far more than I can). With either arrangement you have 2 people sharing each available sleeping spot, but the 2BR gives you the kitchen and living room, about 300 additional sq ft over two studios, and a washer/dryer.

Having had 8 in a BWV 2BR, I don't think I would do that again (8 women on top of that!). Now 8 in a 2BR at OKW is doable. There is so much more room there even with the pull out couch open

Partly because four in a studio is no picnic and neither is four in a one bedroom. Except for OKW. You can do eight in a two bedroom at OKW and not have problems.

We had four of us in a one bedroom at SSR once (we had tried for a two bedroom on the waitlist, but it never came through) and we were uncomfortable. It was me and husband, son (about 10 at the time) and SIL.

Completely agree with you, however the OP had two choices: two studios for eight people or one two-bedroom for those eight people. IMO, it's a no-brainer for a two-bedroom.

2 bedroom gives you the washer dryer, probaly more balcony room, full fridge/kitchen. we save a ton of money by cooking in alot. if you all can tolerate each other the 2 bedroom would be a no-brainer. (if the other people have screaming kids or bad hygiene i suggest studios!)
