BWV 1 Bedroom or Poly Villa?

We are looking into a Disney trip over spring break with our two elementary school aged children. There is limited availability but it looks like we could get a preferred view 1 bedroom at the BWV or a studio Villa at the Polynesian.

It would be great to have a separate bedroom and I like that you can walk to Epcot and HW Studios from BW. However, we'd probably be spending a lot of time at Magic Kingdom. Is it that much more convenient to get to MK from Poly vs. BW? I had hoped for Bay Lake towers but there are only 2 bedrooms available and that's really too expensive.

Yes, it is that much more convenient to get to MK from PVB vs BWV. But I'd still pick the room choice, if comparing 1BR vs studio, over the travel time.

BWV just got their own MK bus, so it's improved.

You will have more sleeping spaces at Poly. A BWV 1 bedroom has a king in the master and a queen sleeper sofa. The Poly has a queen bed, queen sleeper sofa & twin murphy bed. That way your kids would not have to sleep together.

have you thought about a split stay....half at poly and half at BW. I do it all the time. I,m at the poly right now and I own at the BW and BLT.

Pros of poly..super convenient to MK...10 minutes each way. You can walk to transportation center and get on monorail to Epcot or the express monorail to the MK (no stops.whereas the resort monorail makes 4 stops) because the dvc units are closer to it then the lobby. Beautiful pool with great splash park..tons of resort restaurants...

cons, room is okay. Very dark with orange and brown....at one time the poly was my favorite resort, but not impressed with it this trip...don't like that there is no 1 bedroom option either.

BW..I LOVE the BW...the rooms are OKAY.( like the rooms at the BLT and GF better)..but the 1 bedroom, is great. But it does only sleep 4,so kids would have to sleep in same bed. But love being so near to Epcot and HS. Love all there is to do at the BW too...it's a fun resort.

If you do a split stay they will transfer your luggage for you. Like I said I do it a lot just so i'm within walking distance to 3 parks. From the MK resorts it took me an hour to get to DHS...hate wasting time on buses.
