I just booked a 1 Br Villa for the weekend but noticed the tub doesn’t look like the jacuzzi tub at other resorts. Is it just a big tub or are there bubbles at all?

Its driving me nuts because I just gave up old key west for it and I was really looking forward to having long dials in a jacuzzi in it room.

As above, the jacuzzi tubs are being removed, most likely due to the length of time it takes to clean them between guests. Scrubbing the surface of the tub isn’t enough. In past years there have been multiple reports here of grossly dirty water coming from the jets, which apparently weren’t cleaned frequently enough.

Welp, time to dump DVC. We stopped going to the parks when the value wasn’t there for us anymore. All inclusive or a decent cruise is the way to go now after this trip. It’s been a fun 20 years.

Sorry to hear that. Any plans for grand children anytime soon? If so you might just want to rent out your points instead of selling as then the value should return albeit no jetted tub still.

They are putting air bubble tubs in the newer resorts like PIT and RIV. These are self cleaning. I wish they would put them in the refurbs as well but I guess it's not possible.

I miss the jet tubs somewhat - it was nice if there in cooler weather and after a long day of walking to sit in the hot bubbles. But I actually prefer the designs of the new tubs better - they are more squared and deeper for good soaking - they'd be perfect with jets too, but all the refurbs I've been in recently have removed the jets (BR, BWV, SSR).

Of course, if you don't require your bubbles to be experienced 'au natural', aka sans clothing, there are hot tub jacuzzis at all the pool areas.

We were quite upset about the missing tubs in BCV(and later BR) too! One reason we bought dvc was for the awesome tubs! Would not have been so annoyed if they had given us the bubblers like some other resorts. We sorta felt like we got a 'downgrade".

The bubblers are at VGF, RIV, and Poly only, correct?

The Flagship, the fancy “luxury” DVC, and the fake flagship

Maybe, but the fact remains, when we bought into our resort we had an upgraded tub with jets and then they removed it for a soaker tub. not at all the same . So in my mind, it is not a situation of flagship vs regular , but rather getting the same level of amenities we had when we bought !
