BWPPI to DTD...how is the walk

I know it seems silly....but can you walk between the two parks to get to DTD? I just did directions on Google Maps and it has me going around DL....

Please advise...

I believe this hotel is across the street from Disneyland entrance. If so, it's not further to walk there than to Disneyland.

Yes, you absolutely walk between the two parks (through the esplanade) to get to DTD. The reason google has you walking around DL is because google only follows actual roads/streets when giving directions, and the walkway between the parks in not a road. (If that makes sense.)

The walk is maybe 4 minutes at most, and you will need to go through security/bag check before entering the esplanade, but once you get through security, it's clear sailing to DTD.

Yep.

The OP should understand that 4 minutes (maybe 5 ) is to the edge of DTD thru the Esplanade. To get all the way to the back (by the ESPN Zone, say) will be another 5 minutes. Bottom line is that it is all very close.

This is our first trip to DLR and I got nervous when I google mapped!

To echo Hydroguy's info......

We stayed at the Park Vue Inn (right next door to the BWPPI) and the walk to DTD doesn't take too long. But when we were going to the Rainforest Cafe for breakfast ressies, which is at the very end of DTD (if you are coming from your hotel), and it took longer than expected. More like 10-15 minutes. Granted we were walking with little ones...

Once you cross the street from the BWPPI onto Disney property, the walk is lovely....

You see your hotel. You see those yellow hash marks? Those are the lines of the entrance plaza that are directly across the street (basically) from your hotel.

You walk through there, go through the Harbor-side bag check, cross the esplanade between the parks, find the Exit sign of the DTD-side bag check, exit, and you're in DTD.
