The first time I stayed at the Beach Club was in 97 and we had what was called garden view. I have since stayed in standard and water view. I love this resort and frankly I was just as happy with the standard view as the other two. We also leave the room early and come back to the room during the day only as a quick pit stop. Back to the room at night for as little shut eye as I can get away with. If you spend a lot of time in your room maybe that would make a difference for you. It still wouldn't for me. Hope that helped.
We just got back from our first trip to BC. I booked a standard room and we looked out onto a beautiful courtyard with a view (slight) of the lake. It was shady and we got a full balcony, so it was nice to go outside to read and still have some privacy and enough shade that it was comfortable.
I have stayed in a standard room at both the Beach Club and the Boardwalk Inn, and both times I was pleased with my view. At the Boardwalk, my room overlooked the garden suites. At the Beach Club, I overlooked a lovely courtyard facing the villas. I found it relaxing to sit on my balcony and enjoy the view at both resorts.
We were in a standard room last month at the Boardwalk Inn (4278). It overlooked a quiet courtyard where the Boardwalk Villas are. Very peaceful and relaxing. Also had a great view of Epcot. We were able to see the fireworks right from our beds.
Many years ago we had a boardwalk view while staying at the Boardwalk Inn. Really nice, expect at night with all the noise from the boardwalk. I very much preferred the room we had last month.
At YC we paid for a standard view. At check in the CM cheerfully told us we had been upgraded to a water view. The room over looked the quiet pool and it was a great view - for standard rates. If I had paid for a water view room, I would have expected to be looking across the lake to the Boardwalk. So if you decide to pay for a water view room, be sure to be specific in your requests if you want to look at the lake.
