BWI with Bounceback offer?

Hi,

We just got back from a wonderful stay at AKL Lodge and decided to go for the bounceback offer for our winter 2024 vacation. I asked for WL which was not available. Poly was also not available, however YC was as well as BWI and GF. GF would be $300 more as well as YC so I went with BWI. The CM said my savings was over $1,000, which proved to be true as I checked rack rate after. I did not ask for the mods because I wanted to give the Epcot area a try. We are two adults. I also noticed after we booked it that the CM booked with me a basic package even though I told her room only? However, it does not include any park tickets. I figured I would add those on as I make up my mind. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you as always!

That's fine..the basic package gives you a smaller deposit and you can add or not add tickets later

Thank you! I wasn't so sure what that meant. You need at least two parks for a package, correct? We are thinking of just doing Epcot this vacation. Let's see...

Yes, you would need a minimum two day ticket to add them to your existing ticketless package.
However, if you just want one day, you can book that ticket separately.

The only real difference is the smaller deposit and you have to paid in full 30 days prior vs day of (room only)

Room only is cancellation up to 5 days before your trip. Package is 30 days. Package is $200 deposit, while room only is one night deposit. I much prefer the room only. CM constantly try to push packages

They really try to push the package. I’ve seen lots of reports if similar situations and personally have had to have very firm discussions/go back & forth a bit with phone CM’s regarding the issue

It is so annoying but they seem to be doing it more & more. It’s their automatic default. They’ve tried to do it to me too. Once they say $200 deposit is the time to say, nope, that’s not what I want. You should be able to call back & have them change it if you really don’t want the package. Just be prepared to pay more for your deposit.
