BWI studio ??

Sorry, newbie to the DVC here. We are very curious about the DVC, but didn't have time on our last visit to talk to the DVC rep. We are thinking about possibly renting points from someone for our upcoming January trip and perhaps for the BWI-how many people can a studio sleep? We have 2 adults, 2 children (12,8), and 1 baby (19 mos.). Is a studio a good option? We were just trying to keep $$ down.

Welcome to DVC and glad you posted!

Just to clarify, if you rent points you would be staying at the Boardwalk Villas, not the Boardwalk Inn. They are attached to each other, but one side is all DVC villas and the other a WDW resort.

You are within the occupancy limits of a studio (4 plus one child who is under 3 years old). But I have to say that you would find any hotel room, even a BWV studio, a bit cramped. The kids would have to share a pull out couch, and the baby in a PlayPak bed.

You will be within the recommended occupancy for a studio. There si a queen size bed(for you and DW), and pullout couch(for 8 & 12 year old) and a Pack 'N Play crib for baby. It will be a little cramped though, but, if you are not people who spend a ton of time in your room, it should be OK. You will also have a kitchenette which will include a small fridge(liek a dorm size),a microwave,a coffeemaker, and a toaster(and if the toaster is not actually in the room, I think you can get one from housekeeping).

If your budget allows, you might be better served in a 1 bedroom DVC unit. There you would have a mastr bedroom with a king size bed, a toilet,shower, and sink in the bathroom, a jacuzzi tub and a second sink in the dressing area outsdie the bathroom, a full kitchen with full size appliances(stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher), enough plates,utensils,serving pieces to serve 8 I think, and a washer dryer. Then you and DW are in the master, babay is in Pack "N Play and kids share pullout couch OR one on Pullout and one on the floor in possibly a blow up[ mattress or sleeping bag. The difference is that there is more geographical space in a 1 bedroom, so you won't all be tripping over each other.
