BWI Southwest Family Boarding

Can someone tell me what they have been experiencing with family boarding out of BWI.

The reason I am asking is that I know sometimes that they suspend it because there are so many families.

I still can't decide if I am going to pay for EBCI. DH will have our 6mo in a car seat that he has to install and I will have our 8 & 11yo's. If I send dh on the plane with the baby at family boarding then I will just pay for the 3 of us EBCI, but then there is a side of me that says don't do it. UGH! Stick a pin in my eye! Someone make the decision for me!!!!! LOL!

I haven't flown out of BWI, but fly SW out of other cities almost monthly lately and now they are doing family boarding for those with children 4 and under after the A group. If you want to be on the safe side I'd do EBCI, although with more people purchasing it that doesn't always guarantee an A boarding pass.

Loophole: You can neglect to purchase EBCI when booking a seat for an infant and FAA approved car seat.

Thank you! I think that I am going to send dh and the baby on at Family boarding and not pay for EBCI for them

I didn't think it would be necessary to buy EBCI for a 6mo either way.
