There seems to be so little info about room locations at the BWI. After a lot of consideration we will be booking this resort after all. I am looking for help in figuring out a good concierge level room with a nice view and not to far from the elevators. Also what about a good standard view room ( in case we decide to save $$)Anyone?

TIA!

If you go for standard view, request an upper floor courtyard view. Some of these courtyard views can see over to Epcot. We had a standard view last month and did not make a request, so we ended up on the second floor next to the walkway to the bus stop, with no view and people walking by talking all the time. It was only 1 night, otherwise I would have asked for a change.

Thanks for the info.....I really don't know which we will book at this point. I wish someone had a resort map with more info that the one I have seen so far.

I think we are leaning towards a concierge room but not deluxe concierge. Has anyone stayed in regular concierge and had a fireworks view? Or are all those rooms garden view?

TIA!

OK, let's see if I can help at all. We were in room #4240 (I think)..It was Concierge - right next to the lounge - had a balcony and could see Illuminations pretty well.........Actually being right next to the Lounge made it even better to view Illuminations from the Lounge balcony. Excellent location for Illuminations. Nice room also IMHO. Any other questions, I'll be more than happy to help. We were there 11/28 through 12/8/02.

irish-
thanks!

Was that a deluxe concierge or a regular concierge room?

What was your overall opinion of the BWI concierge CMs? Also, did you have children with you?

Thanks so much :)

I believe our two (2) rooms were "regular" concierge...Actually, it was the first time I had ever stayed "concierge"; so I thoroughly enjoyed being spoiled. We were upgraded..........Our party included 2 grandsons....As my first and only concierge experience, I really can't compare..

Thanks again irish!

It will be out first trip staying in concierge as well and I have tried to pick the hotel that will best suit all of us. I asked about children because I have heard that BWI is not the most kid-friendly lately and wondered what your thoughts were on that. Sorry I wasn't more specific.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it and I'm sure we will too-when we finally get there-lol! :)

Hi again, welovedis...........You were specific - it's me and my "senior moments"...They seem to come frequently...LOL
We enjoyed our stay very much. My grandsons (ages 7 and 10) had a ball. Although this was our first time at "concierge", we're really not new to Disney; having stayed at WL, YC, BC, Dolphin and also Swan, besides BWI. It's difficult to compare; but the Epcot resorts are definitely the best IMHO. Enjoy...........

Hi! We stayed twice on 5th floor overlooking lawn between Villa side and Inn side and it also overlooked the lake due to angle of building. Great view with a small balcony - table, 2 chairs. This area would be above Bellevue Lounge. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Bob:

Sounds like finnie48 and I stayed in about the same room! We were 5269 (I think) and had that same view. We enjoyed it as we got some of the BW atmosphere but not a direct hit of noise. Although I must add, when you close those doors you don't hear much. This room was considered "waterview".
