Please help us decide. We are planning our next trip for September 2005. Me, DH and DD 4 at the time of the trip. We decided on splitting our stay between the Poly and one of these two choices. Help us decide between the BWI or the BC, please!
They both look really nice.

Which one would you chose? Any advise or suggestions would be very appreciated!

Thanks!

Jodi

They are both excellent hotels and you can't go wrong with either. I would say the only major difference is that the pool at the Beach/Yacht clubs (Strormalong Bay) is considered the best at WDW. Some people even say it is like a water park. If the pool makes a difference then you should probably pick the Beach Club. If not, it's a tough choice. You won't be sorry whichever one you choose.
Check out the hotels on allearsnet.com.

I would go with the BC because of the shorter walk to EPCOT, Beaches and Cream, on-site dining at Cape May, big gift shop, nice quiet and main pools. Everything is right there on the property, and the location is a little better. Good luck with the decision!

Another vote for BC, mainly for Stormalong Bay, but also the possible noise level from the Boardwalk activity, depending on your room location.

On our last trip to the world we stayed at the BWI for the first time. It is a really nice resort. Our room was overlooking the Boardwalk just above Spoodles. When we shut the door, the noise was hardly detectable. I am a fairly light sleeper and I had no problems for 7 nights in a row. The dining choices are excellent and the walk to Epcot was very easy. Also, because we have two kids, it was really nice being able to sit out on the balcony, hold hands, enjoy the view, and sip on some cocoa while the kids were sleeping at night. (You have to squeeze some kind of romance in where you can get it) It was kind of like being on a date.

This time we are staying at the BC. We had eaten at the Cape May for the character breakfast last time and it was fabulous. We also like the convenience of a hotel near Epcot and MGM, so we decided to try it out. We have only seen the lobby and the restaurant area, but it looks very nice. Also, the kids are very excited about the pool. Good luck on your choice. I don't think you can go wrong either way.::MinnieMo

Thanks everyone! I knew this was going to be a tough decision! I think we are leaning towards the BC right now after looking at the rooms.

Still welcome anyone else's opinions or suggestions!

Thanks!

Jodi

Both are great.

As previously mentioned, SAB is wonderful...I would choose BC .

Enjoy!::yes::

When we went to eat at Beaches and Cream, we were given a beeper like thing that tells you when it is time to be seated. Well, we decided to walk around in the lobby...is it just me or is the decor bland? All of my family members noticed it too...I'd much rather stay at the BWI after this!:D

We stayed at the BC last year when my DS was 5, we both loved it. I liked that they had a smaller pool with a small slide for the young ones. My DS had a blast in the smaller pool, he loved the small slide, it was just the right size for him. We went to the Character breakfast at Cape May a few weeks ago and when we walked into the lobby my DS asked if we can stay here again, he told me that he now thinks he can do the big slide.

My DS loved to sit in the childrens area in the lobby and watch the TV with the other kids at night. Nana and I would get a frozen drink from Matha's Vineyard and enjoy all the activity in the lobby. Everyone was so nice and friendly there.

I also like the BWI but I have never stayed there with a child. The bakery on the bw has great cheese danish!

Both resorts are nice and bright and the rooms are good sizes. We have already started talking about our trip for next year and these are the 2 resorts we are looking at also. I would be happy at either, so it all depends on which pool my DS wants to do. Right now he is leaning toward the Clown pool at the BWI.

Good luck with your decision, I think you will be happy with either resort.

Another vote for the BC. SAB is wonderful and the BC itself is very elegant but not formal (I didn't think it was bland at all.) I loved the fact that we could go over to the hustle of the Boardwalk on an evening but then come back to the quieter side of the lake.
