BWI or BC?

Decisions, decisions!

I've narrowed it down to two choices:

Standard room at Beach Club using a "magical deal" or a standard room at Boardwalk Inn using a pin code. The BWI room would be about $280 more than the Beach Club.

Any thoughts?

I'd probably go with BC based on the price difference, but it's a tough call. On one hand, I far prefer the room decor at BC and enjoy the convenience of BC Marketplace. On the other hand, a full balcony is much more likely at BWI than at BC. So if a full balcony is really important to you, that might enter the decision-making process. Also, some of the standard views at BC are really yucky, so we book garden view whenever possible - not sure if that's possible in your case, but worth consideration. Standard views at BWI may not be great, but in my opinion, there is a lower risk of yucky view at BWI.

For us the deal breaker between BC and BWI is the chance of having no balcony or a juliette balcony. We really want to have a patio/full balcony at WDW, especially the EPCOT resorts. Every night we sit on the balcony/patio and enjoy the view (no matter what view it is).

We have stayed at YC and BWI/BWV as they have more rooms that fit our needs.

This is us too, exactly.

I have to say: we loved BC, but we were upgraded from a standard view to a water view with a full balcony which was MAJOR, unexpected pixie dust since the CM at check in noticed it was my 40th birthday when I showed ID and that my only request (a full balcony) had not been met when my room was assigned. So we loved our room then, but we are making the switch and trying BWI this year because we really want the balcony and the day bed.

BC is one of my all time fave disney resorts. The pool is amazing and the pool area is much more sprawling than BWI. We've done BW several times too. Lots of food on that side. It's a bit further from the back gate to Epcot. We walk the world at night and with little kids, that extra 5 min walk to BW was a factor. And did I tell you about the pool? The food is amazeballs too. If you like lots of small quiet pools, BW has more of them. The kids activity center is by a quiet pool at BW. They're both beautiful resorts. Oh, you're more likely to have convention folk at BW than BC. Good luck!

I'd save the $280 and stay at BC. You may reconsider if the balcony situation would be a deal breaker. Otherwise, the amenities at the 2 resorts are substantially similar and it's a very easy walk from one to the other if you'd like to do some visiting/eating/shopping.

If you are interested in swimming and anyone in your party is, at all, afraid of clowns, you need to stay at BC.
