BWI or BC

I have not stayed at the BC but have stayed at YC and most recently BWI. BWI was terrible ! I would stay at the YC again in a heartbeat.

Isn't it funny how people's perspectives are soooo different. We were at BWI a few weeks ago and thought it was great. The location is wonderful for visiting Epcot and DS. I've never stayed at BC, but from a location standpoint, YC/BC/BWI are all super close to the resorts.
The Boardwalk has great restaurants, they are about a 2-3 minute walk from YC/BC (although you just walk out the main lobby from the BWI and you're there).
Just really depends what experience you are looking for overall.

::yes::
in general, BC is geared more towards children, BW more toward adults.
that said, we geatly prefer BW (along with my kids, DP's, DB, DSIL, (at time) 5yo DNephew & 10yo DNewphew).
BC has SAB pool (kind of like a mini water park) & a lo-oooooo-t of kids :)
BW has surry bikes, "street performers", arcade games, ESPN, etc. there are also great views of illuminations.
at night, there are jellyrolls & atlantic dance hall for adults.
we just prefer the less "noisy" BW (we also like YC for its quiet elegance).

different strokes.........:)

I would chose the BWI. In fact, we leave tomorrow and will be staying there till Sat. Then on Sun we are at the BC for 1 day. Both resorts are great. BC is geared more for kids with SAB. Both have short walks to Epcot. You can walk to the studios in about 15-20 min. You also can talk the boats to both parks. The BWI has nightly entertainment. Between all the resorts you have ample dining choices.:cool1: We have found that the cast members are much friendlier than the BC escpecially up on the Club level.

We are also in the same boat. Deciding between BC and BWI I cannot decide. We have stayed at BC before and it was magical. I want to try something new but have that fear of it being less than magical. ;)

We are staying at BWV the night before our cruise...we stayed at YC and fell in love with this area. SAB is much quieter on the YC side....and we lucked out...Luna Park Pool at the BW is closed til the 15th of Feb for rehab, so we get to go to SAB if we want!

Definitely, we feel that BWI is geared more for adults and the BC is my kids absolute favorite. We've made many magical memories there and the boys just love hanging out with Raouf, Art and Jordan and we can't think about staying anywhere else. We were just there July 24 - Aug 3 and again Dec 9 - 16th where we were upgraded to concierge. Good Luck!

We have stayed in the villas of both and had a wonderful time each time. I really don't think you can go wrong with either. Why not check out allearsnet.com? The have a great photo gallery of the resorts. Check out the rooms and stuff there and see which appeals to you more.

That really depends on your situation. We have recently stayed at both resorts and have 2 toddlers. We prefer BC because of the sandy-bottom pool area. Our girls spend hours at the pool because of the all the sand. Also, we like having the character breakfast right at BC for the girls' sake. I agree with the others that the BWI is more adult-oriented than BC is. However, while we stay at BC, we do love to walk over to the boardwalk for the entertainment and restaurants. So we get the best of both worlds, really. We stay at the resort we like better for our girls, but yet we get to walk to the boardwalk to enjoy that.

We were there the same time! We celebrated DD's bday there on 8/3! :goodvibes

Curious, what made the BWI terrible for you?

We had a housekeeping issue that required us to be moved to a different room after the 1st night of a 2 night stay. Unfortunately, the CMs at the front desk did nothing to make the process easy. We were told to bring our luggage down to bell services until a room was ready. Guess what, when we returned before 3pm I was told our room was not ready and I should call back later. The CM really did not care that we were being inconvenienced and that they should have made an attempt to find a room for us ASAP. I was treated with great disrespect. The total lack of customer service is what bothered me the most.
