Going to stay BWI concierge in October for the first time. Can anyone recommend a room #, floor, (better to be close to elevator, conc. lounge?), etc.

A view of EPCOT for Illuminations would be great. Is that possible?

Also, I've heard of deluxe concierge rooms. We have 3 children; DS1 will be in a crib. Should we opt for the bigger room/more space?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

You are staying at my favorite place. I too will be back there in Oct. The deluxe rooms are larger and very nice. You will have more room with the 3 children. My husband and I have had a view of the courtyard and quiet pool area on our last 2 visits. I also had a room this past March when i did my girls trip. There is a great view of Illuminations from these rooms. Also you can watch them from the balconies of the lounge. Our room #s were 4252, 4232 (right by the lounge and 4222. My son and his wife had room 4221 when they went with us last Oct. This was a Boardwalk view room.
Hope this helps.

Kerry,

Did you get an AP discount on your deluxe concierge room? I'm wondering how much of a discount people have received on this type of room. I'd like to try it for our Thanksgiving trip.

Thanks!

Sue

KerryCM - sorry to pester you, did you say all three (4252, 4232 & 4222) were near the lounge, or just 4232?

TIA!:sunny:

I don't mind answering questions at all! Room 4232 is right around the corner from the lounge entrance, 4222 is down the hall a little and 4252 is the furthest away, but not too far.
I have not stayed in a deluxe room, only viewd one. the have quite a bit of room for 5 or more. The room sleeps 6. I am not sure about an AP discount. I am A Disney Store CM and receive my discount that way.
I love the cast at the BWI CL. They make your entire stay so magical. They really are the best, and I have stayed at most of the othere CLs.
Any other questions, ask away.

The deluxe concierge rooms are great - all of them have Boardwalk views. Most of the deluxe rooms are on the 4th floor (with smaller balconies), but there are a few on the 3rd floor. We prefer the 4th because that's the same floor as the lounge. I can't remember our room number, but it was rather close to the lounge. We love the deluxe room (even though there's just my fiance and me) because of the extra size and location.

We received an AP discount in December - around 35-40%. Hopefully, we'll get one for July, but even if we don't, it's worth every penny. You'll be thrilled with the concierge and itinerary planning staff.

After years of staying at the GF, we switched to the BWI in for our December trip and fell in love with it. The resort is beautiful and the service is amazing. You'll have a wonderful time!

Out of curiosity, do the standard CL rooms at BWI have a standard view (parking lot, courtyard)?

I am also interested in this thread too since we will be staying CL there too this August. How small are the balconies of the deluxe rooms? I have seen really large balconies on the fourth floor before just walking by the resort and just assumed that those were the balconies for the deluxe rooms. Guess I was wrong.

The standard rooms can have a waterview or a garden view.I have always booked a standard room and have gotten both views. None of the CL rooms on the 4th floor have parking lot views. There are the smaller 2 person balconies and the larger ones available. The very large balcony you see over the bakery and Spoodles is that of the Steeplechase suite. When you communicate with your planner you can request a lager balcony etc.
