We have the opportunity to upgrade our resort (we were staying at PO-R) and I can't decide which of these 3 to choose! We definately want to be in the boardwalk area.

Also, as a non-DVC member, can we stay at BWV? It seems to be a better value than a regular hotel room since the studios have a kitchenette . . .
Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

You do not have to be a DVC member to stay at BWV. We recently(MAY)have stayed in the BWI and we loved it. Keep in mind the BWV are closer to the main pool, when on the Inn side you have a bit of a walk to the main pool. The kitchenett in the Villas are a plus, but we did just fine in a inn room, we were 3 adults and 2 children. Also there is/was a lot of scaffolding and construction on the villa side. You didn't mention when you are going, but we were told the rehab will be going on till 2003. This might also be a deciding factor for you. If it were me, I would probably stay at the BCV. They are new and you are a short walk(closer than the other two resorts)to Epcot, use of a kitchenette and SAB! Good luck deciding!

As stated above, you don't need to be a Vacation Club member to stay at BWV or BCV.

The BWI and BWV are connected and share the lobby. The theme pool, Luna Park, is located on the BWV side. BWI does have a quiet pool.

The rooms at BWI are normal hotel-style rooms.

The rooms at BWV come in four sizes...Studio, 1 Bedroom, 2 Bedroom, and Grand Villa (3 Bedroom).

- Studio - which is like a normal hotel-style room except it has a small kitchenette with microwave, small refrig, toaster, and coffee maker. All studios at BWV have a queen-sized bed and double pull out couch. The studios normally sleep four but in some rooms there is a "day bed" which could be used by a small child.

- One Bedroom - Features a full size kitchen which includes stove and dishwasher. It also has a washer and dryer. The main bedroom has a whirlpool tub. There is a pull out couch in the living room and the bedroom has a king sized bed. The one bedroom sleeps four.

- Two bedroom - combines the one bedroom with a studio and sleeps 6.

- Grand Villa - sleeps twelve. Has all the feature of a one and two bedroom.

The BC/YC/BCV are located across the lake. The BC/YC/BCV feature a wonderful swimming area, which is almost a theme park in its self.

The rooms at BC/YC are about the same at BWI. The rooms at BCV are the same as BWV.

You won't go wrong with any of the choices.

We are DVC members. I think the studios are better then staying in a normal hotel room. If you really want a lot of space, the one bedroom and higher are wonderful.

I would make the choice on what your plans are while at WDW. If you plan on being in the parks the whole day, you don't need alot of space. If you plan on taking breaks or relaxing in the hotel room, one of the vacation club resorts would be best.

I think you can't go wrong with ony of those.

They are in a great location!!

The only plus of BC is Stormalong Bay. If you have kids, they will love that!

The two-bedroom sleeps 8 not 6. Plus one child under 3 for each of the room types.

I have stayed at both BC and BWI, but not BWV. My absolute fave resort is the BWI. The theming is so complete, and the whole place seems a little fresher than BC. Don't misuderstand me, BC isn't run down, it is still VERY nice. BWI is just a tad nicer, though.

I do think SAB is a cooler pool than Luna Peir, but it is also a LOT more crowded!

You really won't go wrong no matter your choice. Have fun!

Our absolute favorite is the Boardwalk Villas...we love the extra space in the rooms and the convenience of walking to MGM/EPCOT and all the restaurant choices so close.

If you are like my family and you are going to be doing a lot of laundry, then a Villa might be a good choice becuase its right in the room and you don't have to plan your laundry around when you are going to the pool. I also thought it was great to have a Villa because you have a kitchen and can have food in the room. So if you go out and get cereal or english muffins there is no huge rush or debate over breakfast.

You only get a washer and dryer in the one-, two- and three-bedroom units. The studio has access to a washer on the first floor.

I can't say enough good things about BWI... we really had a great stay there. So good in fact that we have decided to return there our next trip instead of trying another deluxe!

Our interactions with the staff were all positive. We liked our room very much. THe kids really liked the Luna pool. The actual boardwalk itself really made it for us. We ate breakfast almost every day outside of the bakery (they have wonderful things) and enjoyed the free entertainment each evening!

We toured BC, also ate breakfast there and used the Sandcastle Club. It seemed like a very nice resort also but had a different atmosphere than BWI. There were more kids at BC... almost over run by kids IMHO. We felt the BWI was more relaxing, a bit quieter but yet our kids felt right at home there.
