Does anyone have a map of this resort that is "to scale"?
We just booked a boardwalk villas standard studio, and this will be our first time at the resort. We've stayed at several of the allstars & pop before...so i'm trying to do a mental comparison of the distance in compirison to those resorts.....
Edit: By zooming in in satelite view with google maps, it looks to be 700-800 feet from the farthest south wing to the elevator. From the door to the lobby at pop century to the back room in a far building looks about 1000-1200 feet..... if anyone has a more accurate way of measuring, i'd love that info...
I had a garden/pool view...overlooking villa pool.
on the side closest to the main pool. Very short walk to the main pool and the lobby. I loved this location and would take it every time in a heartbeat.
BWV seems to be set up that the main pool is MORE convenient to the villas than the Inn. LOVE THAT

Unfortunately, the only other elevators are on the Inn side. It sounds like second floor would be the best for you, since the lobby is on second floor. The distance from the elevator may not be the issue, since the walking is not a problem. Whatever you think is best, yes, I would request it from MS and tell them about your knee issue.

If you stay in the standard view wing, ground level might work slightly better.
You can walk (no stairs or elevator, exit at the bottom corner of the green line) outside to the bus stop, or walk through the hall towards the exercise room to exit onto the boardwalk. Other than check-in, you'd only need to go up to the lobby if you wanted to visit the lobby (or the one small shopand bar near the lobby) Of course you cannot do this if you want a boardwalk view.
IMO, the Boardwalk is the worst resort if you can't do stairs easily. The lobby is on the second floor, the pool is on the first floor, and there is one set of elevators. Avoiding stairs completely is a real pain in the back end.
I'd request close to the elevators - or first or second floor (depending on if you are getting to the bus stop or the pool more often).
The nice thing is that although there is only one bank of elevators - its seldom crowded.
