Are the rooms over the Wyland Art Gallery typically preferred or BWV. We just got one last week and we had a preferred view ressie. We loved it and wanted to try for it again, but not sure which category to book. Although I know the odds of getting a request met at BWV is slim ;)

People have reported on rare occations being booked into those rooms when they book Boardwalk View. It seems that those are most often considered preferred view. My own guess is that when rooms go out of service for Boardwalk View and the BWView is overbooked, they replace the rooms with the Village Green rooms - but they are seem to generally be considered preferred view.

I got one as a preferred view, dedicated studio...did have the deason's bench.

Yes, we had the deacon's bench.

Are there any bad BWV views? Any close to the elevators?

Trying to decide BW view or std. on a studio that I need to start booking on Mon.

Until last week, we only ever stayed in std view and that was fine...until I tasted the good life.

The rooms ending in --51 are the first rooms considered to be BW view. --53 and higher are preferred. --51 rooms would be the closest BW view rooms to the elevator. I think --51 and higher rooms are nice for preferred, I do not think that --51 rooms should be considered BW view. The view of the BW is quite obstructed, especially in 2051, which has a tree right outside the balcony. The --51 rooms do have a huge balcony off of the master, which may be a trade off. JMHO. YMMV.

We were just in 4059 so was that a BW view then? I thought the room #'s got higher the closer you got to the elevator.

Oops, just re-read your post...we were preferred, then. You are right, it was a nice treat, considering we checkin in after midnight. I was expecting the back side of the slide or somewhere far from the elevators.

--51 is a dedicated 1 bedroom. The rest are studios going towards the elevators. I had 5051 and had no balcony off the bedroom, there were 1 or 2 windows (booked boardwalk view). Just a small balcony off the living room.

Correct about the numbering. So as you go down the long hall towards Jellyrolls, the numbers get smaller. 4059 (closer to the elevators) would be considered a preferred view, not a BW view. BW view starts with 4051 and odd numbers lower.

Deb,
Regarding the balcony, we had 2 of the --51 rooms recently and one of them for sure had a HUGE balcony off the bedroom--I think 2051. I assumed that the ones above were the same, but now that you mention it I think that our guests (in either 4051 or 5051) told us they didn't have a bedroom balcony.

Just wanted to chime in here. I also had room 5051 and had booked a boardwalk view. I actually really enjoyed this room - better than some 2nd floor boardwalk view rooms over the store with the half wall balconies.

I had the top floor, over Muscles and Bustles, 2nd studio down from the elevators...2nd door actually. It was dedicated and had a terrific view of the boardwalk. And, it was preferred view. Funny thing is, I got that exact same studio twice!! I just love that room!!

I would love that local too. But, I would not want to use extra points (instead of a std. view) to have any other preferred views. I tend to not get my requests at BWV (although I have never been dissatisfied).
