arriving home to the boardwalk on may 13th (mothers day). We are staying in a standard studio. Does anyone have some good room numbers that I should request. My dw, ds 5yr., dd 6 months and myself. This is our 1st trip home to the boardwalk and any advice would be appreciated. Can't wait!!!!

Its usually best to not request a specific room. If the people in that room aren't leaving the day you check in, the request is ignored. You are better off requesting qualities, like near an elevator, far from an elevator, high floor, ground floor, etc.

Since less than 20% of the resort is standard view rooms, your choices are limited. You should make anyrequests as soon as posssible. Requests are honered in the order in which they were recieved.

Since it was difficult to describe where our room was on the standard side (not really near the elevators but not too far either) we requested that we be NEAR room 1111 (which is the studio portion of the 2br we had last January) because we really loved that location.

I didn't think I'd like a first floor room but with a room on the first floor, being near the elevators isn't an issue... you can just walk right out onto the boardwalk or to the pool. We also had a wonderful view of the fireworks from our room. We were far enough away from the road that we couldn't even tell it was there... we were more overlooking the bridge and canal than the entrance.

If you have any luck getting near this area, please let me know how you phrased it (for the first time I think we are going to fax the room controller a few days before and explain the request in more detail. We'll see how that goes! I just loved that location SO much!)

Last month we stayed in standard-view studio # 3111 (2 floors above where Lisa stayed) and I agree that it's a good location. You are directly in line with the Boardwalk bus stop, therefore a considerable distance from the valet area (and the elevator). Excellent view of the Illuminations fireworks.
