BW Renovations

We're booked for September and received an email today that they'll be doing construction/renovation. Hopefully someone here can tell me exactly what they're doing : )

Last November it appeared to be nothing more than outdoor scraping and painting. Did not notice it inside at all.

We were there this past week (6/1-6/5) and didn't see anything of any significance. IIRC, we might've seen some painting being done somewhere...? But absolutely nothing intrusive in any way. We were on the Inn side, if that helps.

Is this for the Inn? Did they describe what type of renovation? We were there last July, and they were doing some exterior painting that was silent & not problematic at all.

Hmmm, we'll be there in September too, but we haven't received any emails. Hopefully it'll only be touch up type stuff.

I wouldn't worry too much. Before my trip a couple weeks ago I received three different letters from Disney leading up to my stay saying there would be construction, issue with parking, lots of stuff to make me really worried. I was staying on the Villas side. We didn't have any problem finding a parking spot and I didn't see any construction. I saw someone painting in the hallway outside our room one morning and that was it. You should be fine, from my understanding this hotel has been under construction for the last two years.

As others have said, the resort has been "under renovations" for quite a long time. We stayed there twice last year, once in April 2016 and again in November 2016. Both times we saw some painting and pressure washing and I believe they were renovating one of the garden cottages during our April stay. They seemed to work on a particular section of the buildings and then quickly moved on. We were not disturbed or inconvienced at all.

Yep I agree, there seems to be perpetual renovations at BW.

We stayed at BWV last August. For us it definitely impacted our stay. Loud cement work that included jackhammers / very loud drilling noises. Not one day, but every day of our stay. When I called guest relations prior to getting there, I was told to only expect exterior painting. I was not expecting what we encountered. On our last day was our pool day since my kids didn't like the clown pool (they have a thing about thinking clowns are creepy) so we camped out by the quiet pool by community hall - and within 10 minutes of getting there they started cement work on the path. We had to leave as the noise was ear splitting. Hoping you won't experience what we did.
