The Best Western Park Place Inn 'seem's to be directly across from DL.....however, isn't there 'still' a long walk thru the parking lot?

The Holiday Inn Express appears to be within walking distance, altho a bit further. Thinking of staying there to get our frequent stay points.

Any thoughts, ideas, comments on either properties? Which one would YOU choose?

Thanks!

The Best Western Park Place Inn is the closest place you can get for access to the parks (along with the Park Vue) aside from Disney's Grand Californian. It is even closer than the Disneyland Hotel. It is located right at the traffic signal where the crosswalk is. After using the cross walk you enter Disney porperty and are in the tram drop off area. If the light is green when you arrive you walk to the front gates of the parks will be 5 minutes or less depending on how fast your group is.
The Holiday Inn Express is down Harbor Blvd a bit and around the corner on Katella and would add another5-10 minutes to your walk.
In this link find the Best Western (it isn't easy to see quite where it is the way they have it labled). It is located between The Tropicana and the Park Vue.
You can also fond the Holiday Inn Express on here.

Thanks for the info, daannzzz!

The BW sounded ideal so i checked it out, but it was $45 more a night than the HI Exp. Plus we'll get the frequent stay points (Priority Club) for three nights, which really add up fast.

From past experience, we'll probably be too pooped to walk back anyway. :D

Thanks again!

Yes the BW Park Place can be pricey sometimes. If yo are going to rely on the shuttles you will be fine at Holiday Inn/ Hope you have a great time.

Hi daannzzz -
just back from DL (and a WONDERFUL 3 week cross-country road trip) and thought i'd update this thread - in case it can help someone else.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express but i wish we would have stayed at the BW Park Place. As you said, (not that i didn't believe you lol) it is TRULY right across the street. It would have been wonderful!

The Holiday Inn Express was a very short walk....in the morning!!! It was very nice, LARGE room (2 Q and a sleep sofa), EXCELLENT free con't bfst (as do all Hol Inn Exp) and a VERY small pool (that we never used). As priority club members, we got lots of extra points for staying three nights.

That said.....as i hobbled across the street after two wonderful days in the park, seeing the BW, those extra Hol Inn points meant NOTHING!! It would have been MUCH better at the BW. For some reason, despite putting on many more miles on our trips to WDW, we were JUST BEAT after our two days at DL and DCA. We're talking MAJOR blisters here! (???) .

Note To Self: NEXT year, the BW!

Thanks for the update. I am glad you had a good time and it was good to hear a bit of info about the Holiday Inn as there isn't much out there. We usually stay at Hojo or Candy cane Inn. In december we are staying at the BW Park Place INn as I have 13 people, a few of them in their 70's who wish to be as close as possible.
it is funny how can do 2 days at the Disneyland resort and be worn out yet do almost 2 weeks at WDW and not feel nearly as tired!!!! :)
