Which room # do you like to stay in? is it due to the view or another reason?

Just been wondering which rooms have the nicest views and figured I would ask here

Personally my favorite room at any of the DVC's is the one I happen to be staying at during that visit :sunny:

Well, we've only stayed in one 1 BR so far but we really liked it. We were in 348. Had an Epcot view (not by request either, we just lucked into it)--could see Illuminations every evening from the balcony, could see the top of Spaceship Earth, back of the Land, etc. You can even hear the music playing at Epcot. The only downside was the room and the balcony faced the service road so there was road noise, but you could really only hear it when you were on the balcony or had the door open.

I would definitely like to stay in that room again. I would think the 5th floor rooms would be great for an Epcot view. The 3rd floor has the treeline but you can see right over them.

It wasn't super close to the elevator but not a total hike.

After once being assigned a ground floor room close to the quiet pool, that's what we ask for when we stay at BCV. Most recently, we stayed in room 110. We were able to walk out the patio doors and go through the bushes (a path has been forged by previous guests!) to the pool. We were also visited by a family of ducks who plopped themselves down on the patio for a few minutes while we were eating dinner. Once we closed the curtains, they left.

This room is the first door on the right after coming through the doors to the villas. Great location.

We have never asked for a particular room number, just a location, and then hope for the best.

TomD, I know your info gathering and the main way to do that is to ask questions so this isn't aimed at you. However, IMO, requesting specific rooms is a frivolous use of the DVC resources, I hope people make better decisions than that.

With all due respect to Dean, I always make specific room number requests and I have been successful about 75-80% of the time.
I've had lots of different views, I think my favorite would probabally be of the Quiet Pool and as close to the main elevators as possible, while I always have a car being at the other end of the resort isn't that bad either.
The only thing I do not want is 1st floor, although it wouldn't be bad if it was near the pool.
My favorite 1BR units that I've stayed in would be 420 (Illuminations view),and 310 (pool view), the same numbers on other floors should be just as good.
Other good choices for pool views would be 236,238,258 same numbers on 3rd,4th, and 5th floors.

We have stayed at the BCV numerous times, and most of the time we have had a view of the quiet pool, which I happen to like very much. One time, we had a view of the wooded area between BCV and the walkway to Epcot... a nice enough view, and quiet, but not as interesting as watching the activity at the pool.

IMHO, BCV is not known for its "views". Even an Epcot view, which would pretty much give you some views of the top of the ball and the higher fireworks, overlooks a road and a sort of service area along the side of the building there.

BCV is known for its location & SAB, both of which can't be beat!!!!!
