Hi all,

is Buzz's Pizza Planet now open the whole time? I seem to remember people planning on dining here and a few finding it was shut when they arrived.
We are off in January and Buzz is a favourite of DS's, as are pasta and pizza and him being a bit of an odd eater (wont eat meat sometimes until he forgets about not being keen on it and will then eat loads! baffles me everytime :confused3) I think this would be an ideal place to have an early dinner one of our days.
I know going in January it is possible there wont be so many places open but hopefully!

Thanks all

We went the first week of June but I have to say I wouldnt recommend it to my worst enemy!

It was closed the whole of December.

Im not sure if anything has changed since then but unless you really want cheap tasteless food, and Im talking far worse than a saturday night takeaway in a city centre then go in!

Im sure someone must like the place as it was full when we went in June. However even the toilets were filthy!

Unfortunately this matches our experience :sad2:

Kids loved it though because it has a Toy Story play area :)

We were hoping to use this as an easy option for our girls on our first night there last Thursday but it was shut then and also when we checked again on the Saturday.

Thanks guys!!! Lol at least all the buffets do pasta so we have lots of other options! Did anyone actually like it?! :lmao: The restaurant reviews thread didn't look so bad!

we went last july and liked it, nothing special about the actual restaurant but the kids loved the food :thumbsup2

My kids favourite above Pizza Planet (and they are obsessed with Toy Story) is Annettes Diner! Im not 100% what it was they loved but it has become our family favourite and is one of the cheapest restaurants on site!

:thumbsup2

We like it!

Well, my husband doesn't care for it, but doesn't hate it either, and we go every time because the kids usually love it, and love the fact that they're eating at Pizza Planet. It's a nice change for those who are still doing kids' meals -- to not have to eat chicken nuggets!

We were just there in January -- it was open! In fact, I didn't realize that there are times it is closed...?

Are you talking about the one in Disneyland Paris or the US one ? :confused3

The DLP one was open on and off this past month and at present it's supposed to be Wed-Sun 11.00-16.00

It's not that bad to be honest.

You can eat lots of ok, standard food (albeit not the best) for a relatively good price. They also hand out unlimited bottles of water which are so handy for an afternoon in the parks, and will save you plenty of euros too!

We loved it! Not the sort of place I'd go to if I didn't have small children but the kids loved it and it meant that we could have a relatively stress free meal as they would eat a few bites, then go and play and then come back and eat a bit more! We didn't have to worry about them annoying other people as everyone was there with small children who were just as noisy as mine :rotfl2:

Food was ok - not something I would choose if it was just me but for refuelling the kids it was paradise!!

Am expecting to eat here several times when we go again :cheer2:.

we went for the first time in june and thought it was fine!!

all the food we ate was hot, tasty and enjoyable.... the desserts were nice too :lmao:

i was unsure after ppls reports but it was fine, everything was restocked quickly and everyone i saw was happy!

ask at city hall when its open - thats what we did :goodvibes

I agree, it was just very average. The food was filling but completly forgettable. There were a good range of desserts though. And what do you want at lunchtime anyway? Somewhere to rest those aching feet and some bland carb loaded lunch to get ready for the afternoon

will do! had forgotten that I could :thumbsup2

I think we will still eat here as DS is Buzz mad and really does love pizza and pasta but we will probably do CCO aswel so he can meet Woody and because I'd like to see what the set up is like now as I loved CCO before it changed to character meals.
Im not discounting all the advice that peoples experiences haven't been fantastic but I do think all the buffets are hit and miss. I remember alot of people saying Plaza Gardens was the best buffet but after our meal there I would now rather lick the castle instead!

Thanks for all the info and p.o.v's!

kizz.... pretty sure that cco will no longer have the characters after november?? am sure sum1 posted that it wasnt showing in the brochure.....

might be worth checking.....:goodvibes

Any ideas where the character meal will be instead? Thanks for the heads up m'dear

no idea as yet - not heard anything...... hopefully sumthin will b announced soon - if not itll b round the 60 days before the change i guess.... just a pain!

Hmmm wonder will it be back to the Lucky Nugget for the dearer option...
Thanks for the heads up, back to the drawing board ;)
