Hi, everyone!
Anne -- missing you already, sweetie! Keeping your family in my prayers.

My totals for 5/30-6/5
4 hrs 45 mins
26.48 miles

Sorry I didn't post last week. It has been crazy busy since school got out. Why is it you spend all school year looking forward to summer vacation, but you still end up just as busy? :confused3

Anyway, I did do the Cotton Row on Memorial Day. I finished in 1:19:25, and got my name in two papers(one was the city it was held, and one was my local paper). :cool1: Oh, and I wasn't the last name on either list. :yay: :cool1: I am so proud of myself for accomplishing this. I NEVER thought I would ever be able to do it. Oh and I also got to meet two wonderful WISHers, Kewz1 (Kristen) and kzmarathon (Kevin). :thumbsup2 They were so adorable. I shook Kevin's hand and thanked him and his wife (since she had to sacrifice too) for his year of service for our country over in Iraq. I know it was difficult for both of them.

Sorry for rambling....... Here are my totals for the past two weeks:

Totals for week 5/23 - 5/29:

Miles: 18.35

Hours: 3:53:18

Totals for week 5/30 - 6/5: (it's not very much:( )

Miles: 1.65

Minutes: 34:18

Sorry it hasn't been very much. I am so glad I got to count the 10K miles double, or it wouldn't have been very much. I took my mom to the Opryland Hotel in Nashville to celebrate her 70th birthday, and only got to run once and that was at 11:00 at night with my dd sitting (nicely, but tired) beside me. I just haven't been motivated to run since the race because my new inserts are rubbing a blister on my right foot, plus it is so stinkin' HOT! :crazy2: I'm trying to decide if I need to take the inserts back, or just "break them in", suggestions? :confused3

Anne, we miss you, and hope things are going well with you and your family. :wave2: <- In case you get to lurk once in a while. ;)

Hey Buzzie's
Here's my totals on a quick check-in:

Miles 16.3
Hours 3:25

Here's my totals for week ending 6-5:

Miles - 13.01

Time - 3:32 (212 min)

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Ours was extremely hot. Jumped from cool temps to the mid 90's. :faint: Body had no time to adjust.

To Infinity & Beyond!

Hi team. Sorry I'm late and not caught up on this thread, but catching up at work after traveling for the marathon and then traveling for work has been difficult. It also took me a long time to write my not very exciting race report. I posted in on the May 31/June 1 race report thread if anyone is interested in reading it.

My numbers for the week ended June 5th.

54.4 miles (double marathon miles + 2 mile run)
5 hours 12 minutes

That is only doubling the miles and not the hours. That is what I have done all along. Is that correct?

A great race report -- and well worth reading! Thanks for posting that!

Week ending 6/5:
Mileage (including double miles for half): 32.2
Time (not doubled): 5:02:45

Hey Gang,
Numbers for the weak (pun intended):

Miles 5.2
Time 1:08

Off to the beach for a week so hoping for better next week!

Ok, my totals for last week 6/6 - 6/12:

A BIG FAT ZERO Sorry guys.

I promise to do better next week. I guess I got "runners blues" after my 10K, and have lost all motivation to go out in this HEAT. I saw my friend at church today and he said he would make me up a training plan for my 1/2 in November. :thumbsup2 He also got in to the NYC Marathon on his first try! :worship: :cool1: :yay: i am sooooo jealous! ;)

Sorry, I'm a little late this week.

Running: 19
Bike: 12
Cross train: 100 Minutes

Total miles: 31
Total minutes: 252mg

Hope all is well.

enjoy,
Duane

OK I am on time this week :) I was doing so good with a 13.5 mile run on Sat and a 13 mile bike ride on Sunday. Went to the Doc on Monday to get my MRI read. Long story short, I had Rotator Cuff surgery on Tuesday morning. I will be in a sling for 6 weeks. YIKES! Not sure of the exercise routine for the next few weeks so my numbers will be real low if any. All I know is it hurts like heck!

But, this week I had a total of 31.5 miles which is about 245 minutes.

enjoy,
Duane

Duane - OUCH! pixiedust: that you heal quickly. Don't overdo it. We'll forgive you for reporting nothing while you recover!

Allie - It's not easy to get out there in the heat. I do a lot of mid-week runs on the TM during the summer and save the LR's for outdoors. Sometimes the body just wants a break, too - I fought with mine all spring after the half to get back in a routine.

Mike - How are you doing? Hope you're enjoying the beach! :beach:

Karen & John
- How's the grandbaby?

Totals for this week:

Miles: 19.33
Hours: 3:58

I only doubled the miles for the first round of the 5K I ran, since I only registered for one race and ran the other 2 rounds as part of my LR for the weekend. Also, I've been getting in a bike ride mid-week, but felt really icky for a couple of days and decided riding for an hour probably wasn't smart when I was feeling light-headed, so this week's miles are lower than they've been.
