The Universal Thread has a sticky for high scores on Men In Black, I was just wondering if anyone out there knows what strategies to employ for high scores on Buzz.

I know I know, the attraction is only to have fun and not be taken seriously however it would be nice to put up some good numbers.

Is there any target that I should go for? Are there any targets that look like they would return high points but don't?

Just wondering,

JK and Karen

P.S. The tips for MIB are gold!!! :thumbsup2

ok - i know this was talked about here before, but i can't find the thread to link it for you.

i will keep looking but until i find it, two i do remember and have used (to my husbands dismay - cause he does not know about it and i am not about to give up my secrets....) are:

on the big rock-em-soc-em robot - after you pass it, very quickly turn your buggy around and fire at the target on the BACK of his left hand. boocoo points for hitting that one.

also in the tube part where zurg and other images are being projected on the ceiling - there is something special about that room. i don't know if it is simply hitting zurg or if you have to hit zurg when he is in a certain spot - but i recall there was boocoo points to be had if you nail him in there.

I did a search for the thread as well but could not find it.

Thanks for the tips so far.

Hope to hear more!

Some targets definately score higher. My FOUR year old son scored 50,000 not far into the ride. He even beat my DH. :rotfl2: We still don't know what he hit but go for it.

Kewl!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the link.

The tips are easy to read and understand.

We are a leaving on May 5 and I can't wait to put the MIB and BUZZ tips into practice.

I usually get my highest scores on Buzz Lightyear whenever I'm lucky enough to be on board when the ride stops, but the guns still work.

So, my advice to you is to keep riding until you experience a trip through there when the ride stops, and rack up many points during the delay.

Enjoy.

I've tried this technique, and I still sucked!

No matter how hard I try, I always have a pitiful score. I am going to memorize those tips and maybe beat DH for once!

My DW beat me 10 out of 10 times on that ride - Can not figure out how: I have many hours logged on Halo and other shoot-em-up video games and spent 6 years in the Army... She makes quilts.... Oh well, I know when I'm out-matched :)

I got the max points once and have absolutely no idea how I did it. Wish I did so I could do it again :thumbsup2 Only time I ever beat DH.

I also used the tips for both rides and I Rocked!
It was funny because me, my husband and my kids rode in one car and our friends rode in another. My husband and our friend are both cops and guess who got the High Score  That's Right, Me The Cheater!!!!
I was laughing and laughing and rubbin' it in and my husband, who knows me better, said, did you get some sort of cheat code off the DIS boards? Man, that floored me!!! So of course I had to tell them and then we rode again four more times. After the third time, both men had beat me, but it was great initially getting one over on them!!!
I loved it!

If you do get a perfect score, make sure you get a certificate at the gift shop commemorating your magical moment. My DH has one and is so proud.

Or better yet, take a picture (but turn off your flash);

The targets further away score more as do the ones that move. Also, there are a few that are very difficult to hit and can usually can't be hit when you're right in front of em like the back of the robot hands and such. The trouble is, it's nearly impossible to see where your shot is hitting because everyone's laser is the same color. And it's tough to make adjustments to hit the target.

I know one of the most basic tips was to keep firing all the time, but your hand cramps up... :goodvibes

I got a perfect score one time and it made Dh so mad. He spent the rest of the week trying to get that score but never could. He said I was just lucky but I told him it was pure skill. Of course ever since then I've always had the lowest score.
