I got 999,999 within about 15 seconds of being on the ride. To this day, I have no idea what I shot that gave me that enormous bonus, but it honestly made the rest of the ride a bit of a bummer.

Oh my gosh, this happened to me too and I guiltily slipped off the ride at the end thinking I'd broken it!!

I did the same thing. It was right at the beginning of the ride. I have no idea what I hit. In fact, my 2 year old daughter was on my lap "helping" me shoot so I wasn't even that focused. I generally have terrible aim so it was the first and probably the last time I will get that score. I didn't get a button.

I've hit it a few times and I'm not a gamer! The 1st time it happened in the first room and my teenage boys were harassing me, thinking my gun was defective. The bad part was that I had to just sit for the rest of the ride--not much fun in that!

The next time around, I was able to hit it again. Without looking up cheats or hints, I knew there had to be something with that first room and figured out where to hit (generally) to beef up the scores.

We've played it SOOO many times over the years, that you do tend to remember where some of the big points are.

I have NEVER received a button, however...
Not that I really needed one!

I got 999,999 once ... when the ride stopped. Wish i had a button.

DH always beats me and often gets 999,999. I beat him that one time becasue when we stopped he was stuck in a doorway with no target in view.

When you get off the ride - go to where you get the pictures and tell them and they will give you the button! You have to tell them...

For those wanting high points - the top of the volcano is a good one...Turn backwards and the ones that you can only get to by turning that way are worth more...also the smaller and farther away the target is then the more points it is worth.

They had a whole bucket of the buttons...actually when I got mine the CM was standing there writing on more.

2nd part -- that must be how I got it. I was constantly making our car spin around different ways just for fun. Maybe you have to do that to get the big points. But I literally never could tell a single time when I hit something...

This turned out to be a fun thread...I'm glad it didn't turn into a argument like most of Dis threads end up doing. DISNEY LIFER!!! and I never got lucky enough for the ride to stop at the right spot or got a lucky shot off the rip..but I'm sure I'm due. Maybe some day we'll see that extra digit and it should make it harder. 9,999,999

The pin is great...it is like an all day fast pass, "Excuse me, Galactic Hero coming through. Yes, I did save the galaxy today. You want me to meet your daughter, sorry I'm already married. Yes, I know....all the good ones are taken. Please, no photos, we don't want the characters getting jealous"


Also, you can't imagine the way the ladies react when they see that I am a Galactic Hero.

My youngest DS enjoys telling everyone how I "broke the ride" when I got 999,999.

I wish I knew about the button!
