buying tickets seperate

if i start buying our park tickets one at a time for a trip not yet planned in 2007 or 2008 do i need to put a date of expir.? or do they start when i first use them? we have always bought a package? thank you

Standard tickets only "start ticking" when you first use them.
 
Someone posted in another thread that the tickets need to be activated within a year of purchase, I'd double check with Disney before going that route.

A ticket will stay valid, even fully "transferable," until taken to the parks and activated.
