Buying tickets online - then what?

I am going to purchase the 3daypark passes online because you save $10 each. If I buy them online 2 days before our trip, do you print them out online, then have to go to the ticket booth to have real tickets printed? We are staying at GC, can they give us the "real" tickets when we check in??

Nope. If you buy the tickets online from Disneyland.com, they will email you a ticket with a barcode. You print that and take it straight to the turnstiles like a regular ticket. They scan it then give you a "real ticket" on the spot.

YOU print out the e-ticket at home, take it to the turnstiles, and then they have a stack of regular tickets there and they trade you. It takes nanoseconds lol.

Yup, instantaneous! Unless...........you do like I did and purchase the WRONG tickets! For our trip last month, I showed up with our print outs, but apparently they were for tickets that could not be used until after January 1! whoops

A quick trip to the guest services window and an extra $15 per person, and we were good to go.

(I'm sure it was clear to everyone [except me] on the website, but nowhere on the ticket printouts did it say "Cannot use until 1/1/12". Nowhere!)

No it's instant. She scans the barcode, and instantly the machine spits out a normal ticket. We just did this in Nov I would say it only took seconds each ticket
