I've only ever purchased my tickets at the park and am wondering if anyone's had issues with paying online?

Any pro's/ con's to the system beyond the time saved in line at the ticket counter?

We always purchase them online and have them mailed to us. No problems at all. But lately our mail hasn't been that great, getting things coming to us in a little bag quite ripped up!! So I ordered them online, and I'm having them hold them at will call. We'll pick them up the day we arrive (not going in the park that day anyway). Even though we've never had an issue getting them, I was always nervous about it getting lost in the mail, and if Disney would give you new ones or not. But from what I can see it's a good savings buying them ahead a time.

Ignore me if I am wrong, but I think for some tickets it is cheaper to purchase online as opposed to at the gate.

Three day - Six day hoppers are roughly $20-$40 cheaper when purchased online, but the others are the same price.

If you purchase them online, you can get your tickets emailed to you which you then print off and take up to the gates, which they exchange for the propper cardboardy ticket on your first entry.

Tickets are always cheaper online than at the parks. E tickets you just print and take to the turnstile.

I was always worried prior to actually purchasing online for the first time; but I have to say, it's much more convenient. No waiting in lines - just straight to the turnstiles and you're in. Can't beat it!

As others mentioned, buying the ticket in advance is cheaper. We've been doing this for years and it's so convenient and easy!

When you purchase online, you receive an email with an Adobe file attachment to print out - this attachment is your eTicket. This you can print at home, or transfer the attachment to a memory stick and print out at any office supply store.

Your eTicket is an 8.5" x 11" document that is exchanged immediately for your park ticket right at the turnstile. You get one park ticket per eTicket.

If you forget to bring your eTicket, then (from DL's website):

Don't worry! If you forget your Disney's eTicket, just visit Guest Services at the Main Entrance Will Call window with the credit card used to purchase your tickets and a photo I.D. such as a driver's license or passport. A Guest Services Cast Member will be able to locate your order and re-issue your tickets. For security reasons, only the Guest whose name appears on the credit card used to purchase the tickets will be able to pick them up.

It depends on a few things. First off if you are staying at HOJO's, you can get the tickets for the same price as online when you arrive. Secondly, it depends if the website hates your credit card with a passion (even though you have good credit), and makes your life miserable in the process without actually getting the tickets:eek::eek::eek:. This has happened to me 2 times off the DL website this year, and ended up getting our 5 day hopper passes when we went to DL in Feb from HOJO's. And made arrangements to pick up my MHP tickets at the ticket booth when we arrive with a confirmation #. It is cheaper to buy tickets online providing it decides to like your CC.:cool1::cool1:

The biggest plus of buying online / in advance in my opinion, is getting to skip the ticket booths and go straight to the turnstiles! Big time saver and also gets you into the parks that much sooner. Who wants to finally make it to DLR then have to stand in a line for 5-45 min waiting to buy tickets?? :)

We always buy our tickets online, print them, and go directly to the entrance once we get to the park. It is so much easier and quicker, and they give you a ticket that will go in the Fastpass machines when you get up to the gate. We have never had an issue paying online, and everyone starts out the day so much happier for not having stood in the ticket line.

When you buy them online and choose the $5 shipping, is it a plastic card or paper ticket?

I honestly don't know why you would buy them at the park when the online option is cheaper and saves time. :confused3
