Hi all

Sadly did not win the lottery this weekend, so I am at work again!

With the dollar being so strong at the moment, I have a cunning plan sir!

How do I go about buying a 21 day all parks/any day etc, when I get to the US. At the moment it will cost us, for 3 adults and 2 sprouts approx £900, which is approx $1700. Now if I buy them there at the dollar rate I am guessing I can save a fair bit.

so,

1, does this make any sense at all

2, Can I buy the 21 day tickets in the US, I thought they were only for us brits to buy before we go.

3, Do we have to have the tickets for the full duration of the stay because we are staying on site?

Thanks

Steve

Hi there,

I think someone more knowledgable will be able to help but this is what I think I know:

1: The 21 day tickets are only sold in the UK for UK customers and cannot be bought in the US.

2: If you book your trip through Disney and you want the whole package then yes I think they automatically add on the ticket that closely matches your length of stay but if for example you only book your accommodation through Disney direct or through your Travel Agent then what ticket you buy is up to you so if you only want the 14 days ticvket then that's what you buy but it does expire 14 days from first use.

We're going back next year and whilst we will be staying on site for 3 weeks I will only be buying the 14 day ticket, I will be booking my accommodation through Disney and my tickets elsewhere.

Hope this helps :thumbsup2

Correct me if i'm wrong, but would it not be cheaper to buy Annual passes and then if you go back within a year then you'll save a fortune! And as you buy these passes at DTD customer services you would get the benefit of the great $ to £ rate, of course this all depends when you intend going over as to what the rate will be. Is thet clear or have i confused the life out of you?:rotfl:

When you say all parks do you mean all Disney parks or ALL parks inc Universal, IOA, SW, Busch?

Hi all

3, Do we have to have the tickets for the full duration of the stay because we are staying on site?

Thanks

Steve

No you can stay onsite without buying any passes whatsoever!

Claire ;)

At Theme Park Tickets Direct it would be £804 for the tickets you mention!

Claire ;)

yes, I was going to suggest using one of the reputable US sites and buying now to get advantage ofthe good $ to £ rate.
I have used Ticketmania and Maple leaf. However i do appreciate that you could not get the 21 day passes that way.

If you are planning on doing universal, sea world etc..... It prob would make sence just to buy the 14day ticket and leave all the non disney parks for thge first or last week....... but then again you have no freedom to pick and choose.

I would buy the passes from the UK. I know the prices are high but its all ready to go when you get there. I personally think there really good value :thumbsup2 Good luck in your hunt, i'll see if i can find ya some info

Claire,

Thanks for that, £804 is not too bad. I will look into this.

We are likely to leave our hotel for the mid 5/7 days for a drive down to the keys, so although a 14 day ticket would do us, it wouldnt (bit of a contradiction there) becasue they expire 14 days after the first, so when we got back we would have run out!

I thought in years gone by an unused ticket never expired.

I guess we will end up buying the 21 day ticket, suppose one way to look at it, is that if the whole thing is going to put a hole in nearly 8 grand, what is the worry about a few quid on tickets? (no that the good lady sees it that way when I send her to work at an all night massage parlour to pay for it!)

Thanks everyone

Steve

If you know you are returning to Florida sometime the Magic Your Way tickets can work out a good option, you can get park hopper/non expiry one's that last more than one holiday.
Our 10 day one's have been brilliant and ideal as we don't visit WDW excessively, lasted us 2 holidays so far.

Got ours direct in Kissimmee from Maple Leaf, maybe not what you are after perhaps though.

Hi Steve
Have you tried www.undercovertourist.com we used them last year and found the service very good, good prices and they send proper tickets and not vouchers.

We added the non-expiry option to our tickets:thumbsup2
