Buying tickets from Universal web site?

After doing some research, it seems like the best ticket for me to buy would be the annual pass. I will be there for 6 nights, so I am sure the kids will want to hit the parks on day 7 before we head out. The passes are $159 on the Universal site. It says something about getting $10 dollars off when you order over the internet. So, is that $10 off of the $159, or is the $159 after the savings? Would I be better waiting until it gets closer to my arrival, do they ever run specials on the AP's? I will have to pay for 6 tickets, so if anyone knows of a better ticket deal please let me know. We will be there Dec.27- Jan.2 so blackout dates apply to the power pass. Would it make more sense to wait until we get there? Would it make more sense to buy them right at PBH?

Crazy...they DO run specials on the AP's, so I would wait, if I were you...last year, around this time, AAA ran the $99 annual pass offer...THAT was a great deal!!! In the off-peak season, Universal is pretty good about running deals!
MIB999999 and I just recently got 2 years for the price of one deal that they were running!

Also, as Mike said, the regular price is $159, so it would be $10 off of that, but like I said...I think I'd wait and see what specials come up, especially where you have to buy for 6!

And Mike, it's $10 off, when you order from the website, not 10%...just so you know.
