??? Buying tickets from disney.com and downloading them?

I'm probably going to buy my tickets today from disney.com, and have thought about using their "downloading" system where you actually print out your tickets right then instead of having them mailed.

Here's my question: will I be given a hard ticket once I get to the parks? If not, how will I get fastpasses? Anyone know?

They just recently started the print at home option, so I dont know if you'll get many responses to the question. I just saw the option on the site about a week ago, and had not heard about it on any of the disney boards.

Brother did this the other day. He received instructions to take the printed ticket to the entrance line ticket taker and they will issue a regular ticket which you can obtain FP's with. He will be there next week, we will see how it works.

Yes, they scan your print out at the gate and at that time issue you a regular ticket that you can then use in the fast pass machines and for park hopping (if you bought that option).

The people that I saw using their printouts did have a snafu, however. They bought and printed out Children's tickets (the cheaper option) and the gate attendants stopped them and sent them to a ticket booth to 'upgrade' to the correct ticket. I don't know how clear the website is when you're making your purchase, but if you buy the wrong ticket, you will still have to go to the ticket booth and stand in that line to get it fixed.

We used them last month and it worked great. 4 adults, scanned at the gate. We were then given regular tickets and they worked for everything without a hitch.
