buying tickets for longer then your hotel stay?

We are considering a split stay and I'm not sure if the 2nd hotel will be Disney or maybe Swan or Dolphin but I'm wondering if we stay the 1st 4 nights on site at Pop can we stay 4 nights but buy an 8 day hopper with our package because I'm not seeing an option for that many days of tickets when I look online for the package.
And I would like to do a package because of the cancellation in case it's needed. I don't want to buy the tickets separately.

If you call, they can add a longer ticket to the package. I just did that (then changed again because I bought an AP), so I know it can be done. They can also book the second half as a basic package, so it's the $200 deposit and package terms for payment/ cancellation.
