We're not taking a trip til June 2012. I had considered buying tickets one at a time when money shows up (hah) but then I see that there are occasionally specials that pop up.

WWYD? Would you wait until the last minute to buy everyone's tickets and HOPE that something cool pricewise shows up or would you just do one a time? Are there usually specials for 'spring/summer' tickets? The prices won't be raised by then right? Since they were just barely bumped up?

Help me, o wise disboard.

I'm always reluctant to buy park tickets that far in advance simply because plans can ALWAYS change and I'd hate to have spent hundreds on tickets if something comes up and I have to cancel the trip.

There's no harm in waiting to see if a deal comes out. This year, ticket prices increased a little earlier in the year than expected, so I'd say if it's still April or May and summer deals haven't been announced yet, I'd probably buy just to avoid any surprise increases, but I wouldn't buy them this early.

I'd suggest doing what others recommend, which is putting money aside in a savings account as you get it, but waiting until later to actually purchase the tickets.

It easier for me to spread costs *buy 1 or 2 at a time* I've had our hoppers for our Thanksgiving visit for a while now. You could set $$ aside each month for your hoppers....

Both good points. I think I'll try REALLY hard to set aside the money I WOULD use to buy a ticket NOW....and save it incase anything crazycool comes up. I'm worried I won't have willpower..but Saving is the only way to do it in our family.

Can you buy disney tickets from a disneystore giftcard??? Maybe I could add money there?

Yes. You can use a Disney gift card to purchase tickets. That would be my suggestion if you "know" you are going to make a trip.
