I'm sure this has been asked before.
What are the shipping prices like when ordering something from the online Disney shopping site.
I know this in in the US.
We are going down in Oct and I found a Frankin sitch (with Stich 0n it) Landyard.
The my Ds would go nuts over .
Now the us price is 12.00 but what would the shipping be like
Or would I be better off waiting till we go down at Halloween and buy this there?

I can't remember exactly, all I do remember is that it is astronomical and completely ridiculous! That is putting it mildly! I did write them once regarding how outrageous the pricing was...lol....didn't get me anywhere.

I think you can purchase and have it sent to your resort, or make your purchases at the parks when you are there.

It is outrageous what they charge for shipping. Especially on light items.

So the only way you kinda get ahead. Is buy a lot of the clearance items. Then shipping would be around 35.00. Plus add customs.

But for heavy items that you can not get here not bad. Got 21 Inch Mickey TV shipped here. costed 40.00. Now that was worth it. Sad they do not ship TV's here no more.

What I do now is find a friend from the Dis board who lives in the USA and have it sent to them. They can ship much cheaper. I wait for the free shipping for 80.00 or more and buy. Then they ship it to me. :)

When will Disney finally clue in that there's a global market for their merchandise if they'd just make merchandise delivery reasonable for their customers? It's not that we don't complain, but they don't want to listen. They can increase their customer base 10% by just fixing their shipping practices to Canada. Companies like Amazon.com (or Amazon.ca) and Dell did it and it's a win-win situation. Without Amazon, I don't think Chapters.indigo.ca would be so competitive.

I had a Disney delivery shipped to my hotel last year when I was on vacation in the U.S., but I pout everytime I see an item I want disappear from their web site before my next trip to the U.S.

The shipping is ridiculous- Was going to order a beach towel with DD's name on it for $12 or something like that before our trip last May - Shipping was over $20. :confused3

Needless to say DD had to wait til we arrived at CBR to get her disney beach towel.

I bought a whole bunch of stuff from there before our trip last year.
Shipping was crazy.
But I kept adding and subtracting things to see if the shipping cost would change.
I paid $40.83 for shipping on a $152 order. I used a code to get $25 off, so I just figured it like I was paying $15 for shipping.

I got 3 bathing suits, 2 barbies, a sweater, 3 tank tops, pj set (which I gave to my mom, and she said they were the most comfy pjs she has ever had, and they washed up great) and of course the 8 logos t-shirts that I bought for everyone in my party.
You should have seen how great we looked with our 8 bright orange matching t-shirts! 6 adults and 2 kids looking like a bunch of goofballs! But we sure found each other easily, and we got tons of compliments!

My fav way to buy Disney - local clearance! My GF and I just came back from our local Disney Store with a bagful of clothes for 50% off last ticketed price. Watch for clearance sales! Eg. I got an adult tink hat for $1.99, ladies velour Minnie hoodie for $19.99, toddler Tees for $4.99, etc. PLUS my GF had printed off a 15% off total order coupon (which shouldn't of applied on clearance stuff) but the clerk was generous that day! Doesn't hurt to ask! We were like kids in a candy store! Go in the day after a holiday for great deals! My total with taxes was about $80 for a huge bag of clothes! Whoo Hoo! :cheer2: MAKE SURE you bring your receipt if you take it to Disney! Try to tell Customs that you just came back from Orlando and you didn't buy all your Disney stuff there! :rolleyes1 You might need proof!
