Buying SW points - how long to deposit?

For me, I only need a few hundred to buy a one-way ticket. You have to buy a minimum of 2,000 initially but it would only be $55, instead of a $140 one-way fare. I signed up for the credit card offer in the fall; I've been able to book three round-trip tickets and about to book one more one-way segment using only points!

The benefit is if you need to cancel your trip the points go back in your acct and you can have the money for the taxes/fee refunded to your credit card as long as you check the box that says to refund that money to you. Points can also be used to book flights for anyone and if the other person cancels you get your points back.

The minimum you can buy is 2000 points for $55. Ever once and awhile they run a special and you can get 30% to 40% bonus points with your purchase.

Just to clarify the purchased points are non refundable but once you use them to book a flight, the small amount you pay in taxes ($5) may be refunded back to your cc if you cancel your flight. The points will be returned to the account they came from whether those points were purchased or earned.

This is a great benefit! Especially when you see lower fares you can just rebook them and the difference goes back into your acct.
