First time flying since the new TSA directives.

I'm flying from MN to Pensacola later in the month to see my DD and her DH. I have two connections.

So, If I purchase a bottle of water at the first airport, I should be ok bringing it on to the next two planes?

Yes unless you leave the secure area and have to go back thru the TSA security checkpoint.

Exactly right and whether or not you have to do that depends on which airline(s) you are flying and through which airports you are connecting. If you are flying on two or more different airlines, your chances of having to go out of and back into a secure area to make your connection increase. Even if you're traveling on the same airline you can run into that situation. If I fly on AA and switch planes in DFW, for example, you can move between all gates and terminals without having to exit and reenter a secure area through a TSA checkpoint. If I'm flying through LGA, on the other hand, I may have to leave one secure area and pass through another security checkpoint to make my connection.
