I am not a DVC member but have been told that some people sell their points. How does this work.

I assume you mean rent their points to others for a reservation. Here is a link to the rent/trade boards on this site. It will have a lot of information that you need.

Hi and welcome to the DIS! I have edited out your post details as inquiries for renting points must only be done on the dVC Rent/Trade Board. You will find some sticky posts on that board that you will want to read before posting your request.

General questions are fine here though.
