I just though I would share something I learned from pin purchasing off eBay. I just bought several pins from a person who is listed as a trustworthy seller on this board (relieved!). I had purchased a single pin a few weeks ago, but this time, I purchased several. When the pins arrived, they were individually packaged in tiny ziploc type bags and placed in one larger zip type bag. When I opened the bag, the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming! I accept full responsibility for it because the listing did not say anything about being from a smoke-free home. But, honestly, I didn't think the pins would actually take on that smell. I feel like it is probably the pin cards that absorbed the smell, but in order to keep them intact, I wanted to keep them on the cards. So, just a word for those that may be sensitive to the smell of smoke (as I am). I will ask from now on if the listing does not say. I will just let them sit out for a while and hope the smell evaporates on its own.
I am happy with my pins, I just wish they didn't smell so bad!! ha!
