I was just at disneyland.com and looking at the passes and they have a great deal, and one of the options is to print an e-ticket.
Is this a ticket I print and then take to the 'box office' to get a smaller card type ticket so I can use fastpass?
I don't want to be carrying an 8x10 paper around with me everywhere. lol

you take the printout directly to the turnstiles, where they scan the code on it, and then hand you a real parkhopper ticket.

Oh super thanks! I pictured me carrying around an 8x10 paper in my purse and then thought 'hey what about fastpass?' lol.
Mary Jo - Meg has NO clue she is going, so don't spill any beans on facebook!

:goodvibes I just bought my E tickets.

They have a picture from Monsters Inc on it right now! :thumbsup2

We'll be there in a month!

It does work really well. I did go to the ticket window and was told I could have spared myself the time in line. This time I'll be all the wiser! I'm going to buy the e-tickets too with our Disney Reward dollars. Have a great trip!

I have used both E-tickets and advance regular tickets that were mailed to me. The E-tickets worked as advertised as others here have said. However, I did that because I was within 10 days of the trip. If I have more time (say three weeks) I would prefer to get the regular tickets in the mail ahead of time. We have a big family and the paper tickets do take a little time to scan at the gates and exchange for the regular paper tickets. :teacher:

Also, if you stay onsite, you can get your parkhoppers from the hotel when you check in.

Usually at a higher price though than pre-purchasing. :)

Actually, what I meant to say was, if you have E-tickets that you have purchased online and are staying on-site, you can redeem them for parkhoppers at the hotel when you check in. We did this in Oct. at the DLH-bought the tix off Expedia (same price as Disney website).

This is a great tip!! Thank you. :)

When you get your tickets at the hotel by turing in your E-ticket paper, do they give you the flimsy cardstock ticket or the hard plastic ticket?

Cardstock. The only way I know to get the hard plastic is through a vacation package or in the Disney/grocery stores.

Just to re-iterate what others above have stated.......you go to the TURNSTILE (the front gate)....NOT the "box office" or ticket windows.

It takes maybe 3-5 seconds (per ticket) for the CM at the front gate (turnstile) to exchange your flimsy 8X10 piece of paper into card stock tickets (that you use to enter & also for FP collection).

Can we go to turnstile and conver the E-ticket paper to real tickets the day before we want to actually use them? or by scanning them do we lose one of our days??

(Just bought these yesterday!)

I can't see how this would work at the turnstyle. I guess it's possible, but what usually happens is that they scan them and then the ticket comes out the other end, with one day deducted. Maybe you could do it at the ticket booth, though.

Not sure why you would want to do this since it's just as easy to enter the park with the e-ticket as it is with the card, but if you were really wanting to do this, I would think doing it at a DL hotel is the only possibility.

you hand the turnstile CM your paper Eticket, they scan it with their wireless scanner and out pops your card stock park hopper...easy as pie.
takes no more time than scanning your ticket at re-entry.
Each time we go to DL the entry process gets more streamlined and customer friendly. I can not remember the last time we stood in line at a ticket booth.
It has been many years. We either get our Etickets, get our tickets mailed to us or we get them at CSAA.
