We are flying in 2-nights before our cruise and are staying at a WDW resort. We planned to spend the Friday before the cruise at the parks. Can we purchase our park ticket at the resort when we arrive on Thursday?

I know there is a risk that the parks may sell out. I am concerned our flight could be cancelled cancelled and we wouldn't have time to make it to the parks on Friday, so I would rather buy the ticket when we arrive.

Can we get it at the resort or do we have to go to a ticket booth at Disney Springs or one of the parks? We are going late August so I don't think we will have trouble with the park selling out. TIA

Do you have a smartphone? Do you have magic bands from a previous trip?

If you have those things you can check what parks are available, buy your tickets online and make the reservation, then enter the park.

If you don't have a smartphone, check before you leave to see what parks are available. When you arrive I would just go to the park you want and buy at the ticket window.

With no magic bands, you will have to go a ticket window at some point to get a ticket card.

Buy a ticket NOW for the 1 day and get park reservations for that day.

If you never use the ticket, you didn’t lose any money. Disney will allow you to change this ticket at a future date, and pay the difference in cost.

As long as you’re planning to go back to Disney someday in the future, this is the best option
