Buying Park Ticket and Dining with Visa Reward

Hi ! Friends are going in November and renting DVC points. My friends have racked up a great number of points on their Disney Visa Reward card and would like to buy the Dining plan and Park tickets using the reward dollars. My other friend who is renting the points to them has confirmed that she needs to book the dining plan on their reservation PRIOR to their arrival, but that they can actually pay for the dining plan at check in with the reward card. But she couldn't get a good answer from Member services if they could buy and pay for with Reward card for Park tickets at Check IN. They would like tickets and dining to be on room keys.

Anyone know if they can buy park tickets while checking in their room? If so, can they definitely pay with the Visa reward? Or is it possible to go over to Guest Services at the resort and add tickets to their room key?

Yes, the Disney Rewards card may be used to pay for DDP (it still needs to be reserved before arrival though) and to purchase admission media. It can also be used a restaurants, shops and even to pay for any room charges.

We used our Disney Reward points towards our DDP when we checked in over Thanksgiving on DVC points. We already had our tickets, but we have had family and friends who purchased their tickets when they checked in with us.

I used a reward card to pay for part of the DP on our trip this past December. Card didn't have enough to pay for the whole thing, but the CM was more than willing to take cash for the remainder, LOL.

In Oct. the staff @ BC said they hoped to start accepting the Disney Gift Card (not the visa reward card) "very soon" for DP.

Anyone know if you can use them yet?

Know "selected" restaurants accept them @ WDW already.

Yes you can use the gift cards at the front desk now!! We checked in for Thanksgiving and were able to use them!!

We also had used the Disney rewards card to pay for our AP's . I know of other people who purchased tickets seperately and put them on there room key!!
