Buying longer tickets vs adding park hopper

I'm sure this has been asked previously, but the search function hasn't been working for me lately.

I'm planning on visiting WDW on 4 consecutive days. I would like be able to enter more than 1 park per day. Adding "park hopper" to each ticket would cost $33. However, buying a 10-day ticket instead would add only $9 (!!). Would I be able to purchase a 10-day ticket, and "park hop" up to 10 times during my stay?

There are others who are more knowledgeable than I am on the matter, but I am pretty sure that you can't do this.

Sounds good but won't work. Disney won't let you use a non hopper ticket more than one park/one day. You will not be allowed to use another day for a different park on the same day.

That is not allowed.

The tickets and computer system will only allow ONE theme-park per day on a non-hopper.
