Buying items at Universal

I had a badge holder for 5 years, and it broke last year, found the same one today, and said the last one i had broke so wanted that one. She said she could not replace it without a receipt, i said i had it 5 years i want to buy it. after a conversation with her, she told me that if you buy anything at Universal and it breaks, no matter how long you have it, they will replace it if you have the original receipt.
