Has Anyone had any success buying park hopper passes on ebay? Did everything work ok? Did you get a good deal that way, say better than AAA price? Thanks all. princess:

I have yet to see a hopper pass on E-bay sell for less that what you would pay from Disney themselves. I think alot of people bidding have not done their homework and therefore don't realize that-
1) they are being had
2)it might not even work when you get there.

I would be so wary about purchasing hoppers on Ebay. As the previous poster said, you have no way of knowing if the tix are even good until you are at the gate! I wouldn't want to take the chance of paying big $$'s and then getting to the turnstyle only to find there are actually NO days left on the hoppers!

Unfortunately, passes are just an aspect of WDW vacations that you don't get much of a price break on. I try to get my $$ savings on car rental, room discounts, and airfare. Then the tix prices don't hurt so much!

I have purchased many tickets on ebay and never had one problem..

1: Make sure it is a good deal
2: Only buy from sellers with lots of and good feedback

That is my advice. It has worked for me.

I'm curious if you were able to save quite a bit of $$ purchasing the tix on Ebay? I'm still not comfortable doing so, but others may benefit from knowing....

Thanks!

I have sold hopper passes on Ebay for 'a good deal'. Acutally, for what they were looking for, it was probably perfect for them. (2 hopper days and 2 options left on passes). They were legitimate and the buyer accepted my word that the passes were good. I have had the same email addy for years and never received any email to tell me that anything went wrong on their trip.

OTOH... I purchased 1 hopper pass with 3 days and 2 options on it for a friend of ours that was coming on our trip. well, there was only 2 days and 1 option on the pass when we went to use it.. so we got ripped off. i tried to dispute with my CC and through Ebay, but was not able to get very far. This is after trying several times to contact the seller to no avail... At any rate, let the buyer beware.

I feel it goes in waves on ebay. Sometimes I look and wonder why people are paying what they are paying and sometimes I find a good deal.

As I said I only buy from people with good and lots of feedback. As was just said sometimes you get burned but on the other hand one ticket we bought actually had one more day then we were told!

BUYER BEWARE is right. Because of them being non-transferrable and that there is a law against selling partially used tickets, you will have no way to get your money back. Neither Ebay or the credit card companies are going to get in the middle of that. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

I sell and buy frequently on eBay. Though you may get a good 'deal', it just isn't worth the trouble should it turn out that there are less days on the park ticket than expected. Normally no fault of the seller, it's just that sometimes they were acquired from someone else, or by other means.

As someone previously mentioned, consider the park passes as part of the costs that you really won't be able to save too much on. To me the risks are far greater than the savings.

I was browsing on ebay last night and came across a seller that had previously sold many children's park hoppers and had good feedback and people actually posted the feedback AFTER they used the tickets.

The seller had a voucher for a child's AP for $199 buy it now. I emailed the seller to see if it was a regular AP or florida resident. I really wanted to buy it, but just wanted a little more info. Afterall...if it was not valid, after I purchased it, I could file a chargeback through paypal and my credit card company.

Well of course the person didn't email me back quick enough and someone bought it. Grrrrr!!
